Justin Was A True Soldier

I met Justin his first year at Coppin State University in the dorms (Daley). The semester he did not return I began to ask students have they heard from Justin. When he finally returned back to school I was excited to see him. I was like hey man I missed you; Justin told me what was going on and what he had been through, from that day on I would always check up on Justin, are you okay, you need anything. He would always say yeah I am good and took on life as if there was nothing wrong.

The lesson behind it all was, no matter how big the problem maybe it's how you deal with it and he dealt with his condition like a true solider no complaints I still have life so I am going to live it. His presence was big when ever he walked into the dorms, cafeteria or just a room in general. He was like the President, you see Justin you couldn't wait for a chance to say to hey, whats going on. His smile was contagious, he smiled through it all. That only made those around him smile that much more. I got to the point this last year in a half to check on Justin just about every single day either it would be a phone call or a text message. The day before he passed I sent him a message and said "hey bro just checking on you"; his reply was "I am good just chillin and I said thats good to know. I will talk to you again soon love you and good night".

He will be missed but his memories and legacy will continue to live on.
Love,
Donica Stevens
