The First Day Of The Rest Of My Life...And My Journey Begins!
I work very hard for one goal in my life
So I can be successful and better deal with the strife
We can’t avoid it. We all constantly go through it
Whatever it takes to get out if it, best thing is to just do it
But what happens when the strife is beyond belief
Things you never imagine happen and give you unbearable grief
Your life is put on hold and you slip into a depression
And your mind is almost forced into asking different questions
Will I make it past this year?
Will I forever be stuck in fear?
Constantly wiping a tear
Because my goals do not seem near
And then everything seems to be so farfetched.
I want to complete a task but I don’t see the homestretch
Before I can make the run, the out fielder makes the catch
So I’m stuck reaching for success but unable to make the snatch
But my situation has changed for the good
Through all that I’ve been through, at the end I still stood.
It hasn’t been a fun road. 24/7 always being stressful
But I can finally give a sigh of relief, because I am finally successful
