Perception – act of apprehending by the mind; cognition
Attitude – position, manner, feeling, disposition
These two play a major role in how you live your life
Because they can decide if you see a blessing or if you see strife
A feeling toward something will affect your mental process
Like hating your work load to where you feel you’ve made no progress
If you’re actually doing the job, you have deceived your own mind
So you think life has been mean to you when really it’s been kind
We all have some battles, many we don’t want to fight
But every battle isn’t as bad, you have to look in a different light.
What is really going on? What am I getting out of this?
Am I striving for a goal in which I really have no business?
Am I reaching for the sky when I should be reaching for the stars
Even though the sky already seems to be too far?
What type of lessons am I learning? Will I still think the same?
Or will I be much more wise and help others in this living game?
One wish of mine wouldn’t be that cancer didn’t occur
Although there might be other ways that if I could I would prefer
But I’ve learned way too much. I’m a much better man.
Been able to help many with different matters at hand.
So when things do occur, don’t just decide that it’s over.
Look at it differently. Be your own four leaf clover.
And find that it’s amazing how your perception and attitude
Could also be the key to your acception and gratitude
